Absolutely Ava

Can you believe our little Ava is now 2 1/2.  Every day she does something that absolutely amazes us.  For example the other day, she put the silverware and napkins on the table.  Austen showed her how to do it once, and she was off all on her own.  Both Terri and I stood in awe as our baby set the table.  Terri immediately said she wants another baby, but I don't think that is going to happen.

Ava is turning into a little chatter box, and sometimes we can even understand her.  I always laugh because it is amazing how clearly she speaks when she wants something.  I guess this is pretty typical, but it still makes me smile.  Her favorite word still has to be cookie.  In addition to talking, Ava has decided that she likes to sing.  The trick is trying to figure out what she is singing.  Some of the songs such as "Itsy Bitsy Spider", "Little Bunny Foo Foo", "Happy Birthday" and  "Ring Around the Rosie" are obvious because we sing them with her at home.  However, there are other songs that she sings that we aren't so sure what they are.  They are very enjoyable though because several come with hand motions or dance moves.  If you haven't figured it out, our little princess makes us laugh and smile regularly.

I guess I should fess up and tell you that she isn't always enjoyable.  She is in full swing of her terrible twos and there are days when.....well, let's just say God makes them cute for a reason.  She loves to say "NO", 'Mine", "I don't like it" and "I don't want too."  Often times she thinks she is the head of our home, and if I am honest there are times when I wonder if it is true.  She has Tylor and Austen wrapped around her finger and gets them to do just about anything.  Jackson on the other hand is holding out and often makes a stand.  Terri and I are well aware that Jackson and Ava are going to be a handful between fighting over toys, fighting for attention, and just fighting in general.  Oh the joys of parenthood.

Well, I should probably stop talking before I get myself in trouble.  I hope you enjoy the pictures below.

This is my Christmas gift from Grandma Woods.  Don't I look cute?

Mom found a special cookie project for Christmas.  Dad is helping build a cookie snowman.

I love my blocks, do I look smart sitting at the table?

My cousin Zach celebrated his birthday by going to Monsters Inc. on Ice.  This picture is of me before the show, once it started I was frightened and went outside with dad.

I love my dog Emmitt, and he loves me too.

Yes, I am a princess and here is the proof!!!

I love Easter Eggs, especially when they are full of candy and I get to look for them.

Don't I look big in this picture?

I got a new bike for Easter.  Mom and dad were shocked that I was big enough to pedal it all by myself.

See I told you I could pedal my new bike all on my own.

If I was big enough, I am sure I would like these websites:

Strawberry Shortcake     Baby Me                    Baby Gap

Childrens Place               Toys To Grow On       Stride Rite
